How we handle your data
Movecheck doesn’t keep what you show it. Here’s exactly what we do with what you give us.

The flow
Up to three images on the free run, up to ten on Deep Check. They go straight to short-lived storage. We never look at them by hand.
Deleted within an hour of upload. Typically within minutes, as soon as your reveal is ready.
We use a large language model to transcribe the conversation and identify which of the 28 moves you made. The taxonomy and interpretation framework are human-designed, written by us. The model fits your conversation into that framework.
The other person’s messages are read once, in memory, for context. They are never written into your result — not the copy you see, not the stored copy, not our research data. In everything we write about the conversation, the other person is always “they.”
One honest limit: your result quotes your own messages back to you, exactly as you sent them. If you used someone’s name in your own message, that name is part of your words and stays in the quote.
You see the card-by-card reveal: top move, pattern, capstone, grounded counter. It uses your own quoted lines because that’s what makes it land, with contact details stripped out. We call this the delivery copy.
The delivery copy expires automatically about 15 minutes after it’s created. The same result stays re-openable for 14 days via the persisted copy below, then it is gone for good.
We keep a second copy of your result for 14 days, so you can re-open it or share it via a private link. This copy has contact identifiers removed: emails, phone numbers, handles, links, and account numbers. We call it the persisted copy.
Gated by a private link only you have. Deleted automatically at 14 days.
If you want the reveal in your email, you give us your email address. We store it long enough to send the result and to let you ask for deletion later. 30 days, then it’s purged automatically.
The hard rule
Movecheck only names what you did in the conversation. We never label, diagnose, or quote the other person. Their words are processed once during the analysis and are never persisted anywhere. Not in your reveal copy, not in the 14-day copy, not in research data.
What we never keep
Anonymous research
We keep an anonymous, numbers-only record of each analysis: things like move counts, energy mix, time-of-day bucket. No text. No images. No link back to you. This is what lets us see, over time, which moves are common, which are rare, and where the taxonomy needs work.
Because there’s no identifier attached, this data can’t be erased. But it also can’t be tied back to you. That’s the trade-off, and it’s structural, not a promise.

Email delete@movecheck.mefrom the address you used to save your result. We’ll delete the persisted copy and the email record within 30 days.
